Born in a small town in the south of Italy, Mauro discovered his passion for photography 20 years ago, when living in China. Since, he has developed an irrevocable vocation for this media that he cultivates along side his design practice.

He chooses to tell the stories his eyes see, in a constant search for subjects, light, colors and situation. The many countries he has lived in or has traveled to, inspired most of his abstract and street photography.

Currently based in the UK, Mauro is working on a project called macro-expressionism. In his photos he tries to capture the abstraction and the constant metamorphosing of shapes and lights in the micro world. He has also started working on an ambitious project that encapsulates photos taken over 12 years in China.
